Winter is rolling around and our fruity refreshing cocktails are taking a back seat. Time to roll out our winter warmers! Have a look at some of our favourite and easy to make drinks that are perfect for the colder months.

Salted Caramel Espresso Martini

Your Friday wind down espresso martini just got a whole lot better. Skip dessert and just straight onto this… the perfect caramel and coffee combo matched with the incredible Blue Duck Vodka, its a win-win.

Salted Caramel Espresso Martini

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs Store Bought Caramel
  • 50 ml Espresso
  • 50 ml Coffee Liqueur
  • 100 ml Blue Duck Rare Vodka

Instructions

  • Place caramel, espresso and a pinch of salt flakes in a cocktail shaker and stir until caramel has dissolved.
  • Add coffee liqueur and vodka, top with ice and shake until combined and frothy.
  • Strain mixture and divide between two chilled martini glasses and top with finely grated chocolate, to serve.

The Apple Cobbler Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Bourbon
  • 15 ml Apple and Clover Syrup
  • 20 ml Apple Juice
  • 20 ml Lime Juice
  • 15 ml Egg White
  • 15 ml La Quintinye Blanc

Instructions

  • Double shake and double strain. Garnish with crushed milk arrowroot biscuits.

Winter Warmer Negroni

Who doesn’t love a negroni?! Have ago at making this delicious winter warmer negroni.  Whether you’re drinking alone or with friends I know you’ll enjoy this.

Winter Warmer Negroni

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 195 grams Caster Sugar
  • 1 Orange sliced
  • 2 Oranges juiced
  • 250 ml Gin
  • 250 ml Vermouth
  • 250 ml Campari

Instructions

  • Place 1/2 cup (110g) sugar in a shallow bowl. Dip both sides of orange slices in sugar. Grease a large non-stick frypan and place over medium heat. Add orange slices and cook, turning once, for 2-3 minutes each side or until dark and caramelised. Transfer to a tray lined with baking paper and cool completely.
  • Place orange juice and remaining 85g caster sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until thickened.
  • Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Combine gin, vermouth and Campari in a large jug. Divide among glasses, top with warm syrup and caramelised orange, and serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Bourbon Whiskey
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Orange for Garnish
  • Ice for Serving

Instructions

  • Add the bourbon whiskey, lemon juice, and syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill with a handful of ice and shake until very cold.
  • Strain the drink into a lowball or Old Fashioned glass. Serve with ice, an orange peel and a cocktail cherry.
