Anyone that knows Jenny well knows that she is a bit of a baking extraordinaire! She can often be found whipping up cakes, biscuits and slice to share with family and friends. Jenny shares her favourite tried-and-true recipe for Butter Cookies, why not try and recreate them at home?
Jenny's Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 225 grams Butter
- 200 grams Sugar
- 285 grams Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tbsp Orange Juice
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Butter Cream Icing
- 340 grams Icing sugar
- 85 grams Butter
- 1-2 tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
- · Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Grease and line a cookie tray · Mix all dough ingredients except flour until fluffy. Gradually add flour bit by bit until well mixed · Chill mixture for 2-3 hours until firm enough to roll out. Roll half dough mixture at a time on floured board until about 5mm thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on tray · Bake for 6-10 minutes until edges of cookies are light brown. Cool on a wire rack · Make icing by combining all ingredients and mixing well. Ice biscuits as desired once cool
