Tame Your Frizz with Splash Happy

litlist

Ever feel the struggle of going to bed with freshly washed hair and waking up with a knotted mess? If you’re anything like me, even a good night’s sleep involves a little bit of tossing and turning and my lush locks quickly turn into a ball of frizz the next morning. I’ve tried so many products over the years to sort this out but one thing I hadn’t considered was using a night cap. Well ladies, when I was given the chance to try out a few products from Splash Happy you best believe I jumped on it! After testing out their famous Shower Cap and their new Silk Night Cap over the last two weeks, I’m officially converted and trust me, you will be too.

I was given the opportunity to try out the Splash Happy Famous Shower Cap and their new Silk Night Cap. I have curly, frizzy and thick hair, and I have to say these caps are the only ones that can hold all my hair without me stuffing and knotting my hair together. Not to mention the range of colours and patterns they have to offer still makes you feel cute in the shower or just before bed. They are easy to use and don’t look absolutely crazy when you have them on.

Splash Happy are a NZ owned company started by Sarah, a Kiwi mum. After finding herself with less time to dedicate to her selfcare after having kids, Sarah started Splash Happy to help her with her changing haircare needs. Seeing the benefits of not washing your locks too often and realising that plastic shower caps just weren’t quite cutting it, Sarah created Splash Happy after a few sewing lessons reignited her desire to create a shower cap that was functional and stylish.

And we’re so happy she did!

The Shower Cap

As a girl with thick, frizzy hair (thanks mum!), I’ve always struggled to get regular shower caps to fit all of my hair into them. Que a mid-shower disaster with my hair falling out the sides and getting wet anyway. I’ve also always found that the elastic digs into your head and the whole experience is more stressful than it needs to be. Well, Splash Happy have certainly mastered the art of shower caps.

Designed in a way that is comfortable, cute and effective, their shower caps have enough room to work for any hair type and are so soft on your skin that you almost forget your wearing it. It also passes the ultimate test of keeping your hair (even those pesky flyaways) bone dry! I was converted after the first test and I’ve been using it 2-3 times a week ever since.

I recommend checking out the below video to see how to get the best fit ⬇️

The Silk Night Cap

I’m going to say it again, I have very curly, frizzy and thick hair which means I normally wash my hair at night, pop it in a braid and hope for the best in the morning. I’ve also tried my hand at silk pillow cases to help tame the frizz but unfortunately nothing seemed have to worked.

It’s no surprise then that I was a little sceptical of how the Silk Night Cap would work for me but I have to say, it’s another 5 star! The Silk Night Cap let my hair naturally curl overnight without the normal frizz I would get. My hair feels silky and healthy every morning and the cap is so comfortable to wear that I don’t find it hard to fall asleep in. As a bonus, it’s machine washable so it’s so easy to keep clean and reuse as often as you like. I’ve also been wearing it on nights that I don’t wash my hair and it still tames the frizz while keeping my curls intact. I love it!

Overall, Splash Happy makes some great products that every woman needs to have on hand. As we make a shift to support more local companies too, I can’t recommend enough that you give Splash Happy a chance and back a Kiwi business. As a site supporting women we urge you to keep supporting women and their ideas so that we can conquer the world together while still looking bomb AF!
