Travel hacks

  • Visa’s are given on arrival when making your way through customs. Ask your travel agent for more information
  • Best time to travel: May, June and September
  • The wage in Bali is very low, so it’s appropriate to leave at least 5000Rp or 10% or more as a tip
  • Bartering – any street vendor will give you a price that is twice of what they will expect you to pay. If you start negotiating, you will both come to a reasonable price
  • All high-end hotels and restaurants add 21% to the bill for tax and service – called ‘plus plus’

I have never been but have friends/family that have and they loved Bali – one theme is how cheap everything is, including tattoos!! haha

Sounds beautiful. Bali is another place that my parents loved and I will definitely be taking my girls over when they are a bit older.

I absolutely loved my holiday to Bali..its to be noted thought that bartering can become abit tiresome this was the only negative for me. The warmth and culture was just amazing!

That was really interesting! Bartering scares me a bit! But I like the idea of visiting monkey forest or seeing manta rays.
