We all hate when we’re are bored and have nothing to do. Why not give one of these activities a go that are not only productive but will keep you entertained for a while.
Drawing
Get out that sketch pad and doodle! Its even better when you have colouring pencils! Our favourite thing to doodle is things like cacti, flowers and optical illusions! You can even get those paints out and make a masterpiece! Unleash your inner artist!
Makeup
Have your make-up skills gotten a little rusty? Or maybe you’re sick and tired of doing the same look? Now is the time so experiment! Try different eyeshadow looks! Nail your perfect brows, or learn to contour to the gods!
Exercise
We know this sounds so horrible! But exercising releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. Especially with free time on your hands what a better time than now to get into shape!
Cooking
Maybe you love cooking or baking? Maybe its time to level up in your culinary skills. Find some recipes you want to be able to nail and give it your best shot! If you practice now, you’ll be able to show off at your next dinner party!
Organise
Do you have that one cupboard that you just can’t bear to look at? Well now is the time to get that organised! The best part about organizing and re-arranging is that you loose track of time and before you know it, you have spent you free time being productive and not just sitting on the couch doing nothing. You may be a colour coordinator like me, or like things organised in boxes. Use your spare time to get this done so that you don’t have to worry about it later.
Go through your ward-robe
Is your wardrobe cluttered? Can you never find that one shirt that you love? Go through your clothes and donate what you don’t wear. An easy rule is if you haven’t worn it in the past 8 months it is time to move on. Holding onto that one pair of jeans you want to fit in may be a motive to work out. But trying them on and them not fitting will discouraging. Wear clothes that fit and you feel confident in. Get rid on things that are old and broken. This will leave room for new purchases!
Give yourself a spa day
This is the ultimate relaxation activity. Maybe you want to paint your nails or try that new facial you brought! Have a bath with a bath bomb and do that hair mask. This will release and stress you have and make you feel confident and reading for whatever is coming your way!
Everyone deserves some down time! Are you going to give one of these activities a go?
