Now is the time to throw it back to your childhood! Sit down and watch these films that will make you feel 15 again!
Soul Surfer
Bethany, a young surf champion, loses an arm after being attacked by a shark while surfing in the sea. Her faith in God and support from family and friends help her surf again. This is a film about accepting what has happened and making the most of your life. It shows the journey Bethany goes through and how she was able to recover not only physically but mentally too.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
This series follows the tragic tale of three orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire — who are investigating their parents’ mysterious death. The siblings are saddled with an evil guardian named Count Olaf (portrayed by Emmy-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris), who will do whatever it takes to get his hands on the Baudelaires’ inheritance. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling devious plans and disguises. You may have heard of these stoies before as they as based of the best selling series written by author Lemony Snicket.
The Water Horse
Young Angus MacMorrow discovers a mysterious egg that grows up to be the Loch Ness monster. As they form a strong relationship, the boy’s family refuses to believe in the creature’s existence. Set in 1942 in coastal Scotland, the film consistently evokes an authentic sense of time and place and features remarkable computer-generated graphics work from Weta Workshop, the company responsible for the groundbreaking visuals of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
Shorts
A young boy stumbles upon a magic rock that has the power to grant wishes. When the news of the rock gets out, children and adults alike try to get their hands on it. You can get hooked by the bizarre, yet unique design, with next-level CGI effects and awesome creatures, such as the Booger Monster, miniature Aliens, crocodiles on two legs, and even Mr. Black when he merged with one of his Black Boxes. And all of this was possible with the help with the rainbow-colored Wishing Rock. Special thanks to Troublemaker Productions for making this action-packed movie.
Zathura
Two young brothers find themselves transported into the depths of space while playing a board game. They try their best to find their way back to Earth. This is such a classic movie. This is the best rip off Jumanji movie you will ever watch. The jokes make you laugh every time with the insane and quirky adventures that take place.
I have watched each of these films and loved them! Surely you will too!
