20 epic chick flicks from the last 20(ish) years

Whether you’re having a solo night-in, you’re getting over a break-up or you’ve got your girlfriends coming over for a night of great banter and too many wines, you can’t go past putting on a good chick flick.

We’re partial to an early 2000’s throwback film (especially ones staring our teen BFF Kirsten Dunst), so break out the popcorn because we’ve put together our top 20 chick flicks from the last 20(ish) years.

First Wives Club (1996)

What’s it about? Reunited by the death of a college friend, three divorced women seek revenge on the husbands who left them for younger women. It’s sisterhood at it’s finest and funniest.

Bring it on (2000)

What’s it about? A champion high school cheerleading squad discovers its previous captain stole all their best routines from an inner-city school and must scramble to compete at this year’s championships.

Clueless (1995)

What’s it about? A cult classic, Clueless follows a rich high school student who tries to boost a new pupil’s popularity while trying to survive high school politics and an unlucky romance.

    Quite a few great movies here. Clueless was really good. I loved How to Be Single. Especially Rebel Wilson in that. She was awesome. A few I haven’t seen. I might have to organise myself to do a movie marathon!
