DIY desk terrarium

Desk terrariums are a great way to liven up your work space or your home and the best part is, you don’t even need a green thumb to keep them alive. There are a lot of different ways to create your own mini garden but here is one that we love.

These also make great gifts so if you are overflowing with mason jars, whip up a few for your friends and family too.

Supplies:

  • Mason jar
  • Small rocks and pebbles
  • Moss (faux or real)
  • Succulents (faux or real)

Directions:

  1. Lay rocks and pebbles on the bottom of your jar until it is 1/3 full (1/4 if you are using real plants so you can add a layer of dirt)
  2. Cover your rocks in a thin layer of moss
  3. Place succulents and any other greenery (real or fake) on to the moss. It is a fun idea to experiment with different sizes and textures if possible.

What a cool but simple idea. Im deff no green finger but something like these I could manage without killing it off. Love nature in offices brings a feel of the outside world in and makes it feel less sterile and seperated

So cute! And I love the idea of faux plants and things. I’m terrible at keeping things alive.
