Makes 12 – 20 skewers depending on how full you make them
Ingredients:
1 pack of skewers
Meat:
- 500g chicken or lamb, diced into cubes
- 1 onion
- 2 capsicums – yellow and green
- 1 punnet cherry tomatoes
- 1 zucchini
- 1 tin pineapple chunks
Optional: add prawns and hallouni
Vegetarian:
- 1 onion
- 2 capsicums – yellow and green

- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 eggplant
- 12 mushrooms, halved if large
- 1 tin pineapple chunks
Optional: add halloumi
Honey sesame marinate:

1/2 cup salt-reduced soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon piece fresh ginger, grated

1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions:
Skewers:
- Soak skewers in water for 5 – 10 minutes so they won’t burn on the BBQ
- Line skewers with your preferred ingredients (meat or vegetarian)
- Coat in honey sesame or preferred sauce
- Fire up the grill and cook until golden or meat is cooked through
Sauce:
- Combine soy sauce, honey, ginger, sesame seeds and garlic in a bowl.
- Coat completed skewers in sauce before grilling
