Splore is set to be one of the hottest summer festivals in 2019 because Rudimental and Orbital, two heavyweights of the electronica music scene, are set to headline the music and wellness event.
Rudimental has become one of the biggest acts in the UK and has found success here in NZ with a string of hits including Feel the Love, These Days and Lay It On Me. Their set will feature a dope mix of DJs, trumpet playing and amazing vocals.
Hitting NZ for the first time, Orbital have been creating iconic electronic music since their inception in 1989 during the halcyon days of Acid House. The duo of brothers deliver an improvisational element to their shows as the mix and sequence tracks on the spot and rock their trademark head-mounted behind their equipment.
Don’t know what Splore is?
Splore is an awesome festival that marries music and art at one of the the country’s most picturesque festival spots. It is New Zealand owned and operated and the festival has set a benchmark for sustainability and respect.
The site, Tapapakanga Regional Park, is only an hourfrom Auckland, but each year “Splorers” travel from all over the globe to enjoy the culture, the vibe – and the wonderful, safe swimming beach only metres from the festival main stage.
Splore’s multiple stages feature a diverse line-up of compelling musicians, singers and DJs from around the world – but it’s also a place for more than music. For three days, the site buzzes with performing arts, visual and interactive art installations, workshops and forums.
Splore has the other end of proceedings covered too, with purpose-built composting toilets alongside campsites. To further reduce the environmental footprint, revelers are incentivised to carpool and public transport is subsidised. Every year, the mantra is #leavenotrace.
Splore is more than a good party. It’s a good place in your heart.
