Indoor picnics are a great alternative to a sit down dinner and are a lot of fun. Just because you can’t go outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy one of our favourite outdoor date night ideas.
Embrace the cold and head out for a night of ice skating fun. Can’t skate? Well that’s even better. You’ll be laughing your bruised ass off all night and if your plan is to head out for dinner, it’s a great pre or post activity that won’t break the bank.
Movies and a fort
You are never too old to build a fort. Fact. Pretend you’re a kid again and rearrange your living room to build the ultimate cubby for a movie night. Don’t forget the fairy lights. Pick a movie theme or select a bunch of your fave flicks, grab some snacks and settle in for a chilled out date night.
Battle it out with some classic board games from your childhood and let your inner competitor shine. One of our favourite date nights is laying out a blanket and some cushions on the floor, grabbing a bottle of wine, demolishing a cheese platter and dominating at Monopoly.
Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean you can’t go for a walk in nature. Rug up warm in the afternoon and take a stroll along the beach or head out for a hike before whipping up a delicious dinner at home.
Netflix and chill
Okay so it’s a bit cliché at this point, but binging Netflix with a bottle of wine and some delish snacks sounds like the perfect way to spend a cold winters night. Whether the night ends in some sweaty fun or a food coma, we’d say you can count it as a success.
