DIY photo magnets

Displaying photos is a great way to remind you of all the fun things you’ve done up into this point, and if you’ve run out of ideas of how to place them around your home, making your own fridge magnets is an awesome way to add a pop of colour to your kitchen.

These are so easy to make, you can even craft up a few as Christmas gifts.

Supplies:

  • Printed photos or Instagram posts
  • Mat board (art stores)
  • Glue
  • Magnetic strips

Instructions:

  1. Cut mat board to the same size as your photos and glue to the back of your photos
  2. Once dry, affix magnetic strips to the back of the board
  3. Leave to set and pop on the fridge
  4. Admire your handy work

You can pick up some magnetic tape from Kmart for cheap or stationery stores

Oh wow what a fantastic idea!! I am definitely doing this, the hard part will be deciding which of my 400+ instagram pics I will use! I like that the materials are relatively cost effective and easy to come by too 🙂

Brilliant idea, but our fridge is brushed stainless steel and can’t put magnets on it booooo. I have heaps of cool pics I have taken which make the best magnets. I might actually make some up as Christmas gifts!!!

I love this idea. This might be the push I need to get some of our Instagram pictures printed. They’d make great gifts too.
